From morning check-in to the month's bank file

Attendance, Leave & Payroll Software

Attendance on a biometric device, leave in a spreadsheet and payroll in a third tool means someone reconciles three systems by hand every month. We build one system where check-ins, leave, rules and payroll share the same data, so every deduction can be explained.

In short

TheSaaSPeople builds attendance, leave and payroll software for Indian teams. Our own platform, Crewline, is live at payroll.thesaaspeople.com: staff check in from an installable phone app that works offline, verified by geofence, office network or rotating QR code; late-coming and overtime rules are versioned data, not code; and every payslip amount links back to the attendance day, leave, rule or adjustment that produced it.

The Problem

Growing employers often run attendance on a biometric device or a register, leave in a spreadsheet, and payroll in a third tool. Every month someone reconciles the three by hand, the late-coming rule lives in one person's head, and when an employee questions a deduction, nobody can show where it came from.

  • Attendance, leave and payroll live in three disconnected tools
  • Someone reconciles them by hand every month
  • Late-coming and overtime rules live in one person's head
  • Nobody can show where a disputed deduction came from
  • Check-ins are not verified where they happen

How We Solve It

We put attendance, leave, rules and payroll on the same data. Check-ins are verified at the source. Policies are versioned and effective-dated, so history is always calculated with the rule that was in force at the time. Payroll moves from draft to calculated, reviewed, approved, finalized and paid, and a finalized run is corrected only through an adjustment or a reversal, never an edit.

  • Phone check-in as an installable app, with an offline queue
  • Check-in verified by geofence, office network or rotating QR code, plus kiosk mode
  • Shifts, rosters, holidays, corrections and overtime, each with approvals
  • Leave types with accrual, carry-forward and multi-level approvals
  • A rules engine with a visual builder and simulator
  • Payroll runs with approvals, immutable finalization, loans, advances and reversals
  • Explainable PDF payslips, a bank transfer file and Xero / QuickBooks journal export

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Crewline?

Crewline is our own attendance, leave and payroll platform, built and run by TheSaaSPeople and live at payroll.thesaaspeople.com. It is multi-tenant, taking each company from the morning check-in to the month's bank file, and it is the clearest example of how we build this kind of system.

Can staff mark attendance without internet?

Yes. The phone app is installable and queues check-ins offline when the network drops. Each check-in is verified by geofence, office network or a rotating QR code, and there is a kiosk mode for a shared device.

How are late-coming and overtime rules handled?

As data, not code. A visual builder and simulator let HR define a rule such as "4th late means half a day of casual leave", test it, and apply it from a date. Policies are versioned and effective-dated, so past months are always calculated with the rule that was in force at the time.

Can a payroll run be edited after it is finalized?

No, by design. A run moves from draft to calculated, reviewed, approved, finalized and paid, and a finalized run can only be corrected through an adjustment or a reversal. History stays intact, and every correction is recorded in the audit log.

Does it cover Indian statutory payroll?

Crewline includes an India statutory reference module, set per legal entity. Statutory requirements differ between companies, so we confirm exactly which components your entities need before anything goes live.
